electronic mandala
Hanan Cohen constructed this mandala — a contemplative concentric diagram — from discrete electronic components for Geekcon in Israel this year. “While creating the Electronic Mandala, I have though about what it is to be a geek, felt the geeky atmosphere around me and talked with others about their reaction to the Mandala and the parts I have made it from.”
Here’s the table the mandala was made at and the parts bins.
The mandala was given to Zeev Holtzman, chairman and founder of Giza Venture Capital and an art collector, to frame and hang at the Giza offices. “For me, the importance of the Electronic Mandala was the process. Thinking about it before hand, collecting the parts, talking to people about it and creating it. I have no use now for the object itself.”
